Videos: CP Psychobiology

"Understanding the Amazing Human Brain". A video highlighting different cases to teach information about brain science.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7Vqy1-u0K8

This video shows a brain freshly taken out of someone. A brain that hasn't been sitting in preservative and hardened. You can see how soft the brain is in it's more natural state

"Brain Mechanisms of Pleasure." Great video of what dopamine can do. Some humans, animals, etc...

"Treating Phantom Limb." Mirror-Box therapy being used for veterans

"Conjoined Twins." The Hogan sister or conjoined twins at the head and share a thalamus which allows them to experience each other's senses. As they get older I hope to learn more.

Jose Delgado and Bull Brain Implants. Start at 1:20

min. Very Cool.

"Jose Delgado 2." Jose Delgado and his famous experiment in which he stopped a charging bull with a radio controlled electric brain implant

"We were all female." We all started off from a female template and males undergo a transformation from that. This helps explain some of the seemingly strange things about males: like why men have nipples.

"Recording Dreams." They neurology and technology that will perhaps allow us to one day record our dreams

"Introduction to Neuroanatomy." Pretty good brain dissection video

"Fresh Human Brain Autopsy." A great video in that it shows the consistency of a non-preserved brain. You can see how squishy it is.

"Evolution of the Human Brain." Current understanding of how the human brain evolved over millions of years.

"Bionic Eye 1." Good video showing some of the tech and development of brain interfaced bionic eyes

"Robo Rat." Electronic brain interface with people and rats essentially making a remote controlled rat

"Monkey Bionic Arm." Monkeys were the first animals that had implants to be able to control advanced robot arms with their brains.

"One Giant Bite." Woman with paralysis is on the the first people to have brain implants used to control a robotic are like we control our normal arms. Amazing already, but still a long way to go.

"Mind Controlled Exoskeleton." This tech could be used in many ways in the future: for paralysis, strength suits, controlling humanoid robots, and more.

"Brain-Controlled Drone." Non-invasive brain control of a drone. Amazing. What will we control next?

"Ode to the Brain." Song about the brain featuring brain scientists speaking autotunned

"Monkey Driving Wheelchair." Neurolinks allowing monkeys to move a wheelchair with their brains connected to electronics and machines.

"Bionic Eye 2." Brain implant hooked up to a camera allowing the blind to see (still pretty raw, the but technology is improving)

Simple video reviewing the rewarding of rats through direct brain stimulation

Evidence has been coming in that Liberals and Conservatives have different brains in that their brains react differently to the same stimulus and even some of the sizes of structures are different. The simple breakdown is that Conservatives have more Amygdala activation leading to higher "threat-awareness" or fear.
