Building Stuff & Arts & Crafts

I've always been creative from stories, to Legos, to making games, and improving on things I own. I know I am not alone in this, but here are some of my creations and modifications.

If you type into Google "worst Star Wars costumes" you'll quickly find myself and two of my friends dressed up in costumes I made to wear to Star Wars Celebration Convention in Los Angeles. Despite the search term, people loved our costumes and it was really fun. Note: I'm not even that big of a Star Wars fan, but it was a good chance to be creative and make the event more fun.

Not the best picture, but this is our Legoland. When my daughter got old enough to play with Legos I took out my box of Legos I kept from when I was little. She loved them and I was inspired to buy more...and more. As we built we made characters with stories to them and personalities. There are Heroes and Villainss, ninjas, a Zoo, The Ice King in his realm, Monster Island, and more...many of them you can't see as they are not part of the main land. I've also started to buy "Lego compatible" blocks and have saved a bunch of money doing it that way. It's only going to get bigger until one of us "grows up."

While many building projects I've done are small, building this fence at the top of the wall in my backyard was a good accomplishment. It came out looking good (IMHO), and no one has yet fallen off the top of the wall.

I think we have perhaps some of the nicer garden boxes on the block ;) No exposed screws and have held up well. They're about 9 years old now and going strong.

Maybe not the best picture to see details, but here are four of the puppets I've made for puppet shows for my daughter and friends. From left to right it's Rainbow the Dog with his bone in his mouth, Prince Frog, Pippi, and "Big Mouth" who has a mouth made from a dental training tool. There are a few more behind the puppet stage (not shown).
