Methodology Unit -2

In this unit we will exam the ways in which psychologist and other behavioral scientists study their fields. We will exam some of the claims made by pseudo science as well as the differences of faith based beliefs vs. scientific beliefs and knowledge.

Something you will never see at a spiritualism store: concrete claims that can be verified with measurable empirical evidence. More, it's unlikely you'll find a cure that doesn't look or smell or feel pleasing.

Ouija boards are nonsense. They work on the "ideomotor" effect, the same thing that makes dowsing rods, pendulum divining and facilitated communication "work." If you watch science reviews of Ouija board on YouTube, you'll see how they uncover the truth of this. More, if they really worked, why isn't anyone with an Ouija board, rich or dead or something different or dramatic than others...because they don't work.

You can see lots if different things at spiritual stores, all in looking, feeling or smelling good. But none will pass a double blind study...or at least they haven't yet.

More nonsense.

Just funny

There is a correlation, but it's probably not the cause! Remember "Correlation does not equal cause"

These pictures of SS guards make it even more clear that the Milgram study in which the participants were sweating and traumatized by shocking people were in-fact different than the SS guards killing people, going on retreat and back to killing later.
